Last updated 16 September 2026. These terms cover your use of Miami Tourism Guide at www.miamitourism.org. Reading the site means you accept them. They are written to be understood rather than to be impressive.

What this site is

An independent guide to visiting Miami and South Florida. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for the City of Miami, the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the National Park Service, or any hotel, restaurant, venue or tour operator described in our guides. Where a business is named, it is named because we thought it was worth knowing about, not because of any arrangement with it.

Our guidance is a starting point, not a guarantee

We research carefully and cite primary sources, but travel information decays and Miami’s decays quickly. Before you rely on anything here for a booking, a budget or a journey, confirm it with the venue or authority in question. In particular:

• Prices and rates. Miami hotel pricing swings enormously between February and September, and around Art Basel, Ultra, the Miami Open and the Grand Prix. Any figure here is an indication for a stated season, not a quote.
• Opening hours, closures and ticketing. Museums, parks and restaurants change these without notice. Check the venue’s own site — we link to it.
• Weather and hurricanes. Atlantic hurricane season runs 1 June to 30 November. For forecasts, watches, warnings and evacuation orders, use the National Hurricane Center and Miami-Dade County emergency management, never a travel guide.
• Beaches and water. Conditions change daily. Rip currents, jellyfish, red-flag days and blue-green algae advisories are real hazards along this coast. Follow lifeguard flags and posted advisories, and swim where there are lifeguards.
• The Everglades and outdoor South Florida. Alligators, snakes, heat and biting insects are genuine risks. Follow National Park Service and Florida State Parks rules, stay on marked trails and boardwalks, and never feed or approach wildlife.
• Driving, tolls and parking. Much of South Florida is cashless-toll only, and rental agreements handle this in ways that surprise people. Confirm the arrangement with your rental company.
• Laws and local rules. Alcohol hours, beach rules, spring-break restrictions in Miami Beach, and short-term rental regulations all change and vary by municipality. The relevant city is the authority, not us.

We link to external sites for your convenience and because we want you to check our sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing or practices. Any transaction you make with a hotel, airline, restaurant, tour operator or booking platform is between you and them; we are not a party to it and cannot intervene in it. None of those links earns us a commission.

Our content, and using it

The text of the guides is written for this site and belongs to Miami Tourism Guide. Photographs are used under the licences of the libraries they come from, principally Pexels, and those licences run to the photographers rather than to us.

You are welcome to quote a short passage with a clear link back to the page you took it from. You may not republish whole guides, scrape the site, use its content to train a model, or present our material as your own. If you want to do something beyond a short quotation, ask through the contact page.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated tools that place an unreasonable load on it. Do not use the contact form for marketing, link-building offers or anything unlawful.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail is current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, cost, injury or disappointment arising from your use of this site or from decisions you made in reliance on it — including missed flights, cancelled plans, weather, or the condition of a venue when you arrived. Your travel decisions remain yours, and adequate travel insurance remains sensible.

Advertising

The site carries display advertising, sold and served by Mediavine. Advertisements are selected automatically, we do not write them, and they are not endorsements. We are not responsible for the products, services or claims of any advertiser. How advertising cookies work is set out in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
